Carpenter and social media influencer from Pori
The carpentry work started as a boy eventually led to a dream job, which now also provides tips for social media users.
I developed a passion for woodworking as a child. I was interested in working with my hands, and I tinkered with all sorts of things at home, both alone and with my grandfather. At the time, I was blissfully unaware that wood would become my closest friend and that the carpentry profession, alongside my family, would become the love of my life.
I ended up becoming a carpenter somewhat by chance. After many different attempts, I started studying construction in 2007, and at that time, I worked as an assistant to a carpenter who had been at the school for a few months. After spending some time working on stairs, rustic furniture, and other items, I became so strongly interested that I decided to become a carpenter.
From school straight to entrepreneurship
I started my carpentry studies in 2009, and the very next year, in 2010, I founded my company, Puutyö Salonen. I have a workshop in Pori, and the company is doing quite well. In my work, I focus on manufacturing custom-made furniture, but I also have my own ready-made collection, examples of which can be found in the online store.
Even though the saw has been singing for over a decade, my passion for this work has not faded – quite the opposite. My motivation to develop has only grown! Social media, among other things, has fueled my drive.

In 2023, I decided to really make an impact on social media. You can check out photos of projects being created in my workshop on Instagram and Facebook. Tips and tricks for woodworking are also content I gladly share with my followers.
Investing in social media quickly brought pleasant surprises – followers started coming in fast, and soon I also secured several great partnerships: workwear manufacturer SnickersWorkwear, power tool manufacturer Festool, hearing and face protection manufacturer Hellberg, safety footwear manufacturer Solid Gear, as well as other top brands such as Hultafors, Temple Tool co, and Kreg Europe.
It has been an immense pleasure to build projects together with these professionals!
