Because these are solid wood planks, there are small grooves between the planks. And because wood is a living material, the gaps between the planks may contract and expand with the seasons. Sometimes the planks may become convex. These are all normal characteristics of wood, so there's no need to worry :)
Now also available with a so-called "Fake Plank Top", which is made from high-quality glued laminated timber. The advantages of the Fake Plank Top are minimal/non-existent movement (it does not warp or become convex), no gaps between the planks, only grooves. Available in a thinner 28mm thick top and a standard 38mm thick top.
The table is made from domestic and local pine.
